"I came to a realization that there is something that any one of us can do for all who have died. I came to see that any one of us, by himself, can care about them, all of them, and love them."--Boyd K. Packer

The Salyer Line

Charles Salyer is a member of a family that probably came from France, moved to New York, then New Jersey, and, beginning with his own children, to North Carolina and then to Eastern Kentucky. There are many Salyers today in Magoffin County, Kentucky, particularly in a town called Salyersville. Charles married a woman named Rebecca, whose last name is uncertain. Some believe she was a Bloomfield and this page is my journey to find out who she really is. (I am currently hoping the Bloomfield connection is correct.) For more on this family, visit these pages on my site:

Family Group Sheet for Charles and Rebecca

The Search for Rebecca Bloomfield

Ezekiel Bloomfield and Hope FitzRandolph Ezekiel and Hope are believed by some to be the parents of Rebecca.

Family group sheet for Zachariah Benjamin Salyer, Sr. and Elizabeth Dunn: Zachariah is the son of Charles and Rebecca.

Discuss all Salyers on our message board, even if they aren't listed here. (Just start a new thread under other, putting the name of the husband and wife in the subject.)
