"I came to a realization that there is something that any one of us can do for all who have died. I came to see that any one of us, by himself, can care about them, all of them, and love them."--Boyd K. Packer

The FitzRandolph Family

Edward FitzRandolph and Elizabeth Blossom were two of my immigrant ancestors. Their descendents create a family unit that is passionate about belonging to and researching their tree. Edward came to Massachusetts from England with the Winthrop fleet. Elizabeth was the child of those we today call the Pilgrims. Her parents, followers of John Robinson, went with the Separatists to Holland, and her father and brother set out to travel to Plymouth on the Mayflower. However, after the Speedwell, which carried them from Holland to England, developed vast troubles, they returned to Holland. They were unable to reach Plymouth until 1629, when Elizabeth was about nine years old. This story will be told here in greater detail later.

The cemetery where Edward and Elizabeth are believed to be buried, and where some of their children are buried, is now a historic site in New Jersey. Click here to read the sign. (Note: This may be slow loading, but I wanted it large enough to read easily.)
